Eid Mubarak

Article by

The night before Eid is also known as ‘Laylat al-Ja’izah’ or ‘the Night of Rewards’. The Messenger of Allah PBUH said, ‘There are five nights on which du’a is not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha’ban, Thursday night, the night before Eid al-Fitr and the night before Eid al-Nahr (al-Adha)’. [Suyuti]

Let us make the most of this night and spend time in voluntary supplication and nawafil prayers!

In’Sha’Allah, in the future once the Islamic Centre of Britain has been established, we hope to have night gatherings to commemorate such nights of great reward and blessings. There will be 2500 spaces for prayer in our Masjid – and we look forward to the day when we can celebrate Eid together!

You can continue contributing to the Islamic Centre of Britain by donating towards our Mussalla Appeal.

Have a blessed Eid Ul Fitr!

Virtues of Rajab

What a great virtue, that Rajab is the month of Allah SWT. Indeed, we should pay extra attention in this month by connecting to Allah SWT. This can come in many forms, from reciting the Kalima repeatedly, spending more time in the Mosque and making up for our missed prayers.
